Moshtix Ticketing Request & Presale
What is Moshtix Ticket Request?
Moshtix Ticket Request lets you submit a request for GA tickets before presale. You choose the quantity you want, provide your payment details and submit your request during the Ticket Request window. A temporary hold is placed on your payment method for the full value of your request. Ticket Requests are subject to availability and do not guarantee a ticket.
When can I submit a Ticket Request?
Ticket Request is open now and closes Monday 7 September 2026 at 7am AEST.
How much is a Ticket Request ticket?
GA Ticket Request tickets are $179.90 + $7 fees per ticket. VIP is not available in Ticket Request.
Does submitting a Ticket Request guarantee me a ticket?
Ticket Request tickets are limited in number, first in best dressed. If your payment is successfully processed, your booking will be confirmed. Please ensure there are sufficient funds in your account for the payment, otherwise it will not be processed and your ticket request will not be fulfilled.
What happens to my card when I submit a Ticket Request?
Moshtix will place a temporary pre-authorisation hold on your payment method for the full value of your request. Requests will be processed on Monday 7 September 2026 between 7am–11am AEST. If payment is unsuccessful, the hold will be released. The time it takes for released funds to appear can vary by bank.
What payment methods can I use for Ticket Request?
Moshtix Ticket Request supports credit/debit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Buy Now Pay Later and PayPal are not supported for Ticket Request.
What happens if my payment is declined?
If Moshtix attempts to process your selected Ticket Request and your payment method is declined, the request will be unsuccessful. Payment is not re-attempted, so make sure your nominated payment method has sufficient funds available.
How will I know if my Ticket Request was successful?
If your request is successful, Moshtix will process your payment and send you a booking confirmation email. You can also check the status of your request in your Moshtix account.
Can I cancel or change my Ticket Request?
You can cancel a Ticket Request while it is still pending by signing into your Moshtix account and selecting Cancel Request. To change a pending request, cancel it and submit a new request before the Ticket Request window closes. Once a purchase is confirmed, the request can no longer be cancelled.
How do I sign up for Presale?
Sign up for New Year’s At The Bowl Presale via our website. Presale access details will be sent to registered customers ahead of the presale.
When does Presale start?
Presale starts Monday 7 September 2026 at 12pm AEST. Ticket releases have limited allocations and will move to the next price point once an allocation is exhausted.
When will I receive my Presale access?
If you have registered for Presale, your access link will be sent by SMS and/or email ahead of the Presale start time. Check your junk or spam folder if you cannot see the email.
I never received my Presale link. Who can I contact?
If you registered for Presale and have not received your access details, email nyatthebowl@livenation.com.au or contact New Year’s At The Bowl via Instagram DM.
Ticketing
When do tickets go on sale?
Ticket Request is available right now, and closes Monday 7 September 2026 at 7am AEST. Presale begins Monday 7 September at 12pm AEST. All remaining tickets will go on General Sale Tuesday 8 September at 1pm AEST.
How much are tickets?
GA Ticket Request: $179.90 + $7 fees
Presale & General Sale GA:
- Early Bird — $169.90 + $7 fees
- First Release — $179.90 + $7 fees
- Second Release — $189.90 + $7 fees
- Third Release — $199.90 + $7 fees
VIP — $299.90 + $9 fees
VVIP — $399.90 + $11 fees
Each release has a limited allocation. Once an allocation is exhausted, the next available ticket price will apply.
How many tickets can I buy?
A maximum of 10 tickets can be requested or purchased per transaction, unless otherwise stated on the New Year’s At The Bowl Moshtix event page.
Can I use Buy Now Pay Later options for purchasing tickets?
Buy Now Pay Later options will be available during Presale and General Sale, subject to the payment providers shown at checkout and their eligibility requirements. Buy Now Pay Later is not available for Moshtix Ticket Request.
What is included in a VIP ticket?
VIP Ticket Includes:
- Entry to New Year’s At The Bowl plus
- Access to two VIP Viewing Decks - at the top of The Bowl with elevated views of the main stage and city fireworks to ring in the New Year, and another viewing deck at the Garden Stage (new for 2026).
- Access to the VIP Terrace close to The Bowl stage, in front of the GA lawn, tucked just behind the Stalls
- Express VIP entry to the Stalls directly in front of main stage*
- Dedicated VIP bars with premium drinks menus, seating and shade
- Dedicated premium VIP toilets
- Dedicated express entry lane to the festival
- Dedicated VIP lane at the merchandise stand
*Stalls will be open to GA ticketholders, with a dedicated VIP express entry lane. Entry remains subject to capacity.
Note: VIP spaces have a capacity limit and once this limit is reached a 1 in and 1 out system will be applied, and patrons will be redirected to other VIP spaces.
What is included in a VVIP ticket?
VVIP Ticket Includes:
- Entry to New Year’s At The Bowl PLUS
- All VIP benefits
- Exclusive access to the riverside VVIP Balcony overlooking The Bowl - very limited capacity and best views of the main stage artists
Note: VIP spaces have a capacity limit and once this limit is reached a 1 in and 1 out system will be applied, and patrons will be redirected to other VIP spaces. This does not include the VVIP Balcony, exclusive access will be guaranteed to VVIP ticketholders.
How will I receive and access my ticket?
Your ticket will be available through your Moshtix booking confirmation and Moshtix account. Follow the ticket delivery instructions in your confirmation email and have your valid ticket ready to scan on arrival.
Can I transfer or resell my ticket if I can no longer attend?
Ticket name-change, assignment and resale options are controlled through Moshtix and may vary by event or ticket type. Sign in to your Moshtix account and select Manage My Tickets to see which options are available for your order. Only use official Moshtix functions where available; do not purchase tickets through unauthorised resale channels.
Birthday Tickets
If your birthday falls on 31 December or 1 January, you are eligible to apply for one complimentary GA ticket to New Year’s At The Bowl. Email nyatthebowl@livenation.com.au with proof of date of birth using a government-issued photo ID. Tickets are limited, non-transferable and cannot be resold. Applying does not guarantee a ticket; successful applicants will receive confirmation by email.
Blak Tix
New Year’s At The Bowl acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands on which the festival takes place. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and recognise the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities.
We are committed to making the festival accessible and offer discounted Blak Tix to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
How do I purchase Blak Tix for New Year’s At The Bowl?
Email nyatthebowl@livenation.com.au to receive a unique code to purchase Blak Tix via Moshtix. Blak Tix availability and purchase limits are subject to the allocation attached to the code.

When & Where
New Year’s At The Bowl takes place at Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Kings Domain Gardens, Linlithgow Avenue, Naarm/Melbourne VIC, on Thursday 31 December 2026. Gates open 5pm and the event concludes at 1.30am.
Gate Open Times
Gates open 5pm and the event concludes at 1.30am. Entry is via Gate 1 at Sidney Myer Music Bowl unless otherwise advised on the event map.
Age Policy, ID & Entry
New Year’s At The Bowl is strictly 18+. Valid government-issued photo ID will be required for entry. If you cannot provide valid ID, you may be refused entry.
Entry Policy & Pass Outs
There are no general pass-outs at New Year’s At The Bowl. Once you leave the event, you cannot re-enter. If you have accessibility or medical requirements that may require an exception, contact nyatthebowl@livenation.com.au before the event or speak with event staff on arrival.
Event Facilities
There’s plenty of things to do, eat, see, use but here’s a rundown of the main facilities you can use on the day:

Smoking
Sidney Myer Music Bowl has a designated smoking zone. Smoking or vaping is prohibited outside of this area. Please keep non-smokers in mind and stick to the spots marked on the event map (released closer to the event date).

What can I bring?
- Your Ticket
- Valid photo ID
- Credit/Debit/Phone Wallet: New Year's At The Bowl is cashless, and all bars and food trucks will be tap-and-go only.
- Plastic/aluminium Water Bottle (no glass): You can bring in your own plastic or aluminium water bottle to fill up at the free water stations around site. Make sure it’s completely empty when you come through.
- Backpack or Bag under A4 size: Bags must be no larger than 20cm x 30cm
- Food: You are allowed to bring small amounts of food for personal consumption only.
What can’t I bring?
- Bags and items larger than 20cm x 30xm (A4)
- Chairs
- Picnic blankets
- Eskies or hard-case cooler bags
- Alcohol or any other beverages
- Liquids, aerosols or inhalers of any type including perfume, aerosol deodorants, bottled eliquid, eye drops and hand sanitisers (unless otherwise advised)
- Large quantities of food prohibited; small sealed snacks allowed
- Illegal substances
- Weapons of any kind or any item that resembles a weapon
- Glass of any kind (including perfume bottles and make-up containers)
- Metal water bottles or containers
- Aerosol Cans
- Unidentifiable or unsealed medication. All medication must be inspected by qualified medical staff through the accessibility lane.
- Professional cameras, selfie sticks, GoPros and iPads (personal camera phones are permitted unless otherwise advised – restrictions may apply to taking photographs or making recordings)
- Animals (with the exception of registered service or assistance animals, such as Guide Dogs)
- Flags, promotional material or items of any kind including, banners, posters and signs, or that display political, religious or offensive signage or logos of any kind.
- Gang-related insignia and masks, headwear or helmets, large spiked wrist or neck bands, spiked or studded belts
- Doof sticks, totem poles, selfie sticks or umbrellas
- Noise making devices and musical instruments
- Broadcasting or transmission equipment
- Laser pens or pointers
- Skateboards and rollerblades, hoverboards, scooters, bicycles, and other personal motorised and non-motorised vehicles (excluding mobility aids)
- Flares, Fireworks & Sparklers (or any other similar flammables)
- All unapproved unmanned aerial systems (UAS) or drones unless expressly authorised
- Any other items determined as dangerous or offensive by Security or Event Staff
- Work uniforms, high-visibility vests, or anything that may be mistaken for a staff uniform

Cloak Room
Our cloak room facilities are available for all events. The cloak room is located outside the venue, to the right of the Gate 1 entrance.
Lost Property
If you lose something during the festival, speak with event Customer Service staff. If you realise after leaving the venue, contact Arts Centre Melbourne Security on (03) 9281 8316.
Getting to the Bowl
Sidney Myer Music Bowl is close to Melbourne’s CBD.
Public transport is recommended, particularly because New Year’s Eve road closures and traffic restrictions can affect access and parking.
Flinders Street Station is the nearest major train station and tram services operate along St Kilda Road.
Detailed transport and road-closure information will be published closer to the event.
What happens if it’s raining?
New Year’s At The Bowl is an outdoor event and is scheduled to proceed in most weather conditions, subject to safety requirements. Check the forecast before arriving and bring suitable weather protection. Umbrellas are prohibited, so a raincoat is recommended.
How do I report antisocial behaviour?
If you experience or witness unsafe or antisocial behaviour, report it to event security or Customer Service staff immediately. Report any concerns during the event by texting 0418 557 677 - the text line is only in operation during event hours.
Accessibility Info & Facilities
Accessible Tickets
If you hold a valid National Companion Card and purchase a General Admission ticket to New Years at the Bowl, you will receive a complimentary ticket for your companion or carer. You’ll need to purchase a ticket for the companion card holder to the event through Moshtix as usual and then follow the below steps:
- Once your order is confirmed, go into your Moshtix account, under Manage My Tickets and select 'Get Help With This Order'
- On the help form, follow the prompts for accessibility and companion card
- Select 'I'd like help with my order' as the category, and for the Topic, select 'I need help with accessibility or a companion card'. For the subtopic, select 'I need help booking with a companion card'
- In the message section, please provide your Companion Card number and Expiry date.
- Once verified, Moshtix will issue a complimentary Companion Card ticket to match the paid ticket to the email used for your original purchase.

Companion Cards
Companion Cards are accepted at New Year’s At The Bowl. The 2026 Companion Card booking process will be managed through Moshtix. Contact Moshtix Support before purchasing so the appropriate ticketing arrangement can be made.
Accessible Facilities
There are a number of accessible bathrooms within the venue. Please refer to the venue map and/or speak with the friendly customer service team wearing orange when you arrive at the venue
Accessible Parking
There are limited four-hour accessible parking spaces on Linlithgow Avenue near Gate 1, available on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to New Year’s Eve traffic restrictions. Accessible parking is also available at the Arts Centre Melbourne car park. Check current road closures and parking conditions before travelling.
Drop off / Pick Up
There are 4-hour wheelchair accessible parking spaces available on Linlithgow Avenue at the bottom of Gate 1. These are first-come, first-served and cannot be reserved. Alternatively, the Arts Centre Melbourne car park is approximately 10 minutes from the entrance to the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Wheelchair accessible parking is available on both levels of the car park and is open 24 hours a day.
Accessible Viewing Platforms
Each stage will have it's own accessible view platforms and is on a first-come first-served basis.
