Presale Information

You can sign up for presale by adding you details in this form here.

You will be notified by an SMS from New Year's At The Bowl that you have successfully signed up for presale.

Presale tickets go on sale Monday 15 September, 12pm AEST and runs until Tuesday 16 September, 11am AEST or until allocation is exhausted.

Early Bird Tickets will only be available during the presale. This is your chance to secure tickets at the lowest price.

If you signed up for presale access, you will receive an SMS and email ahead of the presale start time on Monday 15 September with a link to purchase.

If looking on your emails, please check your junk mail.

If you don't receive your presale access by either SMS or email, contact our customer service team by emailing nyatthebowl@livenation.com.au or DM'ing us on Instagram.

Access to the best priced tickets can be secured in a presale from Monday 15 September, 12pm AEST. Sign up here. 


Access to all other tickets will be available without sign up necessary from Tuesday 16 September, 12pm AEST.

Up to 10 tickets are allowed per transaction.

You can pay using Buy Now Pay Later options. To use these options, you must have an account with the relevant payment providers. Please check what options are available prior to purchasing your tickets and ensure you have a valid account with one of Ticketmaster's Buy Now Pay Later providers.

VIP Tickets Include:
• General Admission Tickets (either Single Day or Two Day)
• Access to premium viewing areas of the main stage*
• Access to private bars, shade, seating and premium toilets

• VIP onsite staff

*The VIP Deck is an accessible space. Each VIP space has a capacity limit and once this limit is reached a 1 in and 1 out system will be applied and patrons will be redirected to other VIP spaces.

We know what it feels like to have your birthday fall on a day when people are already celebrating, so if you were born on December 31st or January 1st, you’re eligible to apply for a complimentary 2-day ticket to New Year’s at the Bowl.

To apply, email nyatthebowl@livenation.com.au. Make sure you meet the below criteria, and include proof of date of birth by sending us a photo of your government issued photo ID. 

Eligibility & Conditions
• Must be born on December 31st or January 1st
• One free 2-day GA ticket per eligible person
• Government-issued photo ID is attached to email application and must also be shown at the gate for entry
• Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be resold
• Numbers are limited, applying does not guarantee a ticket
• You will receive a confirmation via email if your application is successful
• New Year’s at the Bowl reserves the right to decline applications or cancel tickets if false information is provided

New Year’s at the Bowl acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands on which the festival takes place. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and recognise the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities.

The festival is committed to the accessibility of our program and is proud to offer discounted Blak Tix to Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander peoples.

We acknowledge Destiny Deacon (KuKu, Erub/Mer), artist, broadcaster and political activist, for provenance of the term "Blak".

This code is valid for GA tickets only (not VIP) and for a maximum purchase of 2 tickets.

Blak Tix are not applicable to resell via Ticketmaster Resale.

Yes! If you're unable to attend, you have two options:

  • Transfer your tickets to someone else who can go. This allows another fan to enjoy the event in your place.
  • Resell your tickets through Ticketmaster Resale. Simply:
    1. Sign in to your Ticketmaster account
    2. Go to My Tickets and select your order
    3. Click Sell to list your tickets securely

Both options are designed to give you flexibility when purchasing while keeping the ticketing process safe.

Entry to the venue is through Gate 1, located in front of the King George Monument.

This event is strictly 18+.

ID will be checked on entry. Please ensure you have a valid government issued ID otherwise you will be denied entry.

There are strictly no pass-outs at New Year's At The Bowl which means once you leave the event, you can’t come back in. If you’ve got any worries about this, please email us at nyatthebowl@livenation.com.au to chat to our team about your requirements.

There’s plenty of things to do, eat, see, use but here’s a rundown of the main facilities you can use on the day:

• Sunscreen (from first aid or the info tent)
• Bathrooms
• Free water stations
• Bars
• Food Trucks
• Cloak Room

Sidney Myer Music Bowl has a designated smoking zone. Smoking or vaping is prohibited outside of this area. Please keep non-smokers in mind and stick to the spots marked on the event map (released closer to the event date).

Set times and event map will be released closer to the event date. Follow our social channels to receive event information first. 

• Your Ticket 
• Valid photo ID
• Credit/Debit/Phone Wallet: New Year's At The Bowl is cashless, and all bars and food trucks will be tap-and-go only.
• Plastic/aluminium Water Bottle (no glass): You can bring in your own plastic or aluminium water bottle to fill up at the free water stations around site. Make sure it’s completely empty when you come through.
• Backpack or Bag under A4 size: Bags must be no larger than 20cm x 30cm
• Food: You are allowed to bring small amounts of food for personal consumption only.

• Bags and items larger than 20cm x 30xm (A4)
• Chairs
• Picnic blankets
• Eskies or hard-case cooler bags
• Alcohol or any other beverages 
• Liquids, aerosols or inhalers of any type including perfume, aerosol deodorants, bottled eliquid, eye drops and hand sanitisers (unless otherwise advised)
• Large quantities of food prohibited; small sealed snacks allowed
• Illegal substances
• Weapons of any kind or any item that resembles a weapon
• Glass of any kind (including perfume bottles and make-up containers)
• Metal water bottles or containers
• Aerosol Cans
• Unidentifiable or unsealed medication. All medication must be inspected by qualified medical staff through the accessibility lane.
• Professional cameras, selfie sticks, GoPros and iPads (personal camera phones are permitted unless otherwise advised – restrictions may apply to taking photographs or making recordings)
• Animals (with the exception of registered service or assistance animals, such as Guide Dogs)
• Flags, promotional material or items of any kind including, banners, posters and signs, or that display political, religious or offensive signage or logos of any kind.
• Gang-related insignia and masks, headwear or helmets, large spiked wrist or neck bands, spiked or studded belts
• Doof sticks, totem poles, selfie sticks or umbrellas
• Noise making devices and musical instruments
• Broadcasting or transmission equipment
• Laser pens or pointers
• Skateboards and rollerblades, hoverboards, scooters, bicycles, and other personal motorised and non-motorised vehicles (excluding mobility aids)
• Flares, Fireworks & Sparklers (or any other similar flammables)
• All unapproved unmanned aerial systems (UAS) or drones unless expressly authorised
• Any other items determined as dangerous or offensive by Security or Event Staff
• Work uniforms, high-visibility vests, or anything that may be mistaken for a staff uniform

Our cloak room facilities are available for all events. The cloak room is located outside the venue, to the right of the Gate 1 entrance.

If you lose anything whilst you're at the Bowl, speak with the friendly Customer Service staff in orange and they will assist. If you realise after you've left the event, on the following day, please call Arts Centre Melbourne Security on (03) 9281 8316.

Parking
There is very limited street parking due to NYE road closures, however there is parking available at the Arts Centre Melbourne car park which is approximately a 10 minute walk. The car park is open 24/7.


Rideshare
Plug in the address 21 Linlithgow Avenue Melbourne  as your drop off address and you will arrive at the bottom of Gate 1.


Public Transport
The closest train station is Flinders Street Station, and tram stop is Grant St/Police Memorial on St Kilda Road.

The show will go ahead rain, hail or shine (Safety permitting). The venue is an outdoor amphitheatre so if it's looking rainy, pack a raincoat, however ponchos will be available to purchase at the bars if required. Umbrellas are generally not permitted, please check the prohibited items list before you arrive.

Accessibility Info & Facilities

Accessible tickets (including Companion Cards) can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster's Customer Service team on the Accessible Bookings line Monday-Sunday 9am-5pm AEDT: 1300 446 925.

This phone number is reserved for patrons with accessibility requirements and companion cardholders, and cannot process any other ticketing requests.

Companion Cards are accepted for this event, and must be booked by calling the Ticketmaster Customer Service team's Accessible Bookings line Mon-Sun 9am - 5pm AEDT: 1300 446 925

There are a number of accessible bathrooms within the venue. Please refer to the venue map and/or speak with the friendly customer service team wearing orange when you arrive at the venue

There are 4-hour wheelchair accessible parking spaces available on Linlithgow Avenue at the bottom of Gate 1. These are first-come, first-served and cannot be reserved. Alternatively, the Arts Centre Melbourne car park is approximately 10 minutes from the entrance to the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Wheelchair accessible parking is available on both levels of the car park and is open 24 hours a day.

Each stage will have it's own accessible view platforms and is on a first-come first-served basis
